There's a guy with a book out,can't remember his name,but he's
done research on Obama and what qualified him to get nomimated
for a prestigeous Harvard Law Review Editor's spot.
Obama would half to be either top 10% of his class {560}
since only 41-43 editors are picked annually based half on grades
and half on scores of writing competition.
We need to find out the Bama's 1st and 2nd year's gpa
and also what he wrote and got scored in the writing competition.
Some editors are selected solely on gpa,and some solely on the
writing competition.HOWEVER discretion is abundant, and especially
at Harvard,Bastion of Liberalism and especially Tenured Liberal Profs.
The However part is key.7 to 9 Editors are chosen Via a discretionary
committee and to fullfill the reviews Race-based Affirmative Action plan.

Nuff said.
I say Bama boy got a pass and was one of the 7-9 Affirmative Action
choices.

Whew!!!! We never had to worry about such issues, with The Idiot Son.

"Born at the earliest fringe of the baby boom, Mr. Bush was pressed during his years at Yale, 1964 to 1968, to take sides in the great battles then unfolding over politics, civil rights, drugs and music. Mostly he was a noncombatant in those upheavals, but when forced to choose, he ultimately retreated to the values and ideals established by his parents' generation, and to their accepted methods of rebelling.

In short, while some students took to the barricades, Mr. Bush took to the bar."

Yup,I thought so.
In a chimps world, all it takes is making faces and doing quick
turns and backflips, but seldom addressing the real banana peel.
Calling Bush names, does not heighten the discussion a chimps worth.
Even if only a chimp.Or Chump.

True.....but, we've also seen the benefits of electing a President (a burnt-out alcoholic, to boot), with whom all American-cretins wanted to have a beer.

Oh brother. He's obviously not stupid - I don't see why it's so hard to believe he could get on law review on his own merits. Besides, none of that explains him becoming president of the law review.

I was wondering the same thing Fools ...

But you have to be careful with these Obama worshippers ... they'll nail ya as a racist for not loving their guy ... believe me on that one ... :D (I'm not referring to the allforum members)

Anyway, I think of it this way ...

The Williams' sisters earned their way to the top of the tennis world as did Tiger in the golf ... Muhammed Ali certainly took the punches to get to the top and MLK paid the ultimate price for his glory ... I wonder if Obama earned his way the same as these great African-americans I mentioned or did he get a pass and a leg up with AA?

What if The Bama got into Harvard based on Quota.?
Got cut slack in many clases,being how Liberals { Prof's }
virtually Love other Liberals, and then got more affirmative Action
when it came time for being selected to Harvard Law Review.Kinda
like the way he and got the Senate Job.
He's virtually been given a pass his entire life.
I don't know that he'e intelligent or even remotely qualified.
See,that's the problem with Liberals. They actually DO what they
accuse Republicans of doin. They Play the Crony card.
They pick based, not on merit or past accomplishment, but on
popularity and friendships.

I say,and stand behind the Movement to have Bama's GPA's at
Harvard released. What kind of courses he took and who his prof's
were.I wanna personally read what he wrote in competition for his
selection as Editor. That's not askin too mush.
But then again, askin a Democrat to be TOO truthfull is like askin
Charles Manson for approval to copyright those Manson T-shirts.
An effort in sheer futility/

Athletics ISN'T Academics. In point of fact they're polar opposites.
No ones doubts that given the chance to handle a piece of leather
{ basketball,football,baseball,boxing gloves } Blacks excel.
How may Black Williams' or Tigers are there.? Not a bushel full.
That makes it an anomaly.

The point is ... regardless of the color of your skin, you still have to be dedicated, work hard and practice, practice, practice. When you're friends are at happy hour, you're in the gym or on the rink or in the ring ... that's what we call earning your way and paying the price

get it?

Tell that to the many White kids who study far harder than
blacks, and just because their parents also work harder than
black paents or parent, don't qualify for Affirmative Action or even
scholarship, based on what leftist/Liberals put in place
with Rewarding One with Pts. for bein of Race.
I've seen countless examples of Blacks receiving athletic Scholarahips,
with monthly stipends who don't take classwork or studying
even remotely serious.

Face it,Poor white Kids are LITERALLY gettin the shaft by Rich,Eliteist
Liberals who seem to enjoy stacking the deck against them.
It's all on account they have guilt complexs'.
As if Obama Loses a close race to McCain, their kids will assume
what they've been taught their entire lives.That being,see ...
Whitey again is the Great Oppressor.

Fools ...

Yer twisting the topic ... I never argued in favor or AA ...

I simply pointed out that many blacks DO make it by hard work and without AA.

As far as white dudes getting passed over ... that's basically true but you simply can't stop hard work, determination and effort PERIOD. Ever hear of Steve Nash ?

So if it turns out he had a 4.0 you'll just accept it and won't accuse his professors of inflating his grades because he's black?

He was "hand picked" by someone at the DNC, and has the fast track. He clearly is not the most qualified black person in the US to be president, but here he is. If you ask me the guy is a blubbering fool who can not get a point across without a teleprompter. Listen to him answer a question without one. He is either a moron or trying to hard not to say something wrong and tell America what he REALLY thinks, either way, not good.

Good point about the DNC ... IMHO, Obama was a DNC plant from the beginning to wrestle away any chance that Hillary would become president, even if it means losing the White House (again). They went with a black so the race card could be played and it worked.

I say, even insist to call Liberals bluff.Like what Right-wing Talk
radio did to - Air America -. Air constantly bragged, distorted
and lied, and eventually had to eat their own insistence thru
FAILED Ratings.
Same with Johnny " Frauds " Kerry.Until his gpa got drudged-up
big time.Kerry also promised on - Meet the Press - that he
would quickly have his Form 180 made public. He never did.

You've lost it.

that implies you think I'm not entitled to an opinion - would you feel the same way if I was supporting Obama?

Yeah, I'm a pi$$ed off Hillary supporter that refuses to get over it and I guess to you that means I'm losing it.

I was willing to support Obama if Hillary lost until he and his surrogates started labelling the Clintons and their supporters as racists.

2nd thought - I'm more than just a little tired of seeing chickenhawks running the country during these troubled times. Obama never served, Biden had 5 (yeah 5) deferments and we all know about awol-Bush and 5-deferment-Cheney. I'll take my chances with the Annapolis grad, navy officer, POW ... at least he earned his stripes, pun intended.

Luckily, California will go for Obama with or without your support.

I only posted 2 sentences OD ... and from those you concluded that I lost it, how California will turn out, and who I'm supporting? Glad I didn't write one of my bandwidth-stealing essays ... you would have a field day.

Well, you're probably right about CA -- more than likely I'll vote over in Arizona (yes, I can do that cause I live in both states :D) -- just to say my vote counted and I'm going to make a trip to Sedona that day (it's only 45 mins from my digs in the mountains (Dewey, AZ)) ... maybe I'll run into McCain himself, who knows.

I wish you luck with your support of Obama.

While I wouldn't have used the same words as OD, I have to agree with his conclusion. I find it unfathomable that a sober thinking person could entertain such absurd notions.

I'm going to guess you don't know (m)any Hillary hates nor understand the lengths they will go to destroy that woman (and Bill).

Another point ... my post that you find unfathomable is my opinion only -- not something I'm trying to sell and disagreeing with it is what I expect to see in a debate forum but to instantly relegate it to the trash bin of tin foil conspiracies tells me you too may have had a little drink of that Obama kool aid.
