When Mrs. Palin was running for Governor of Alaska she filled out a questionnaire stating her positions on various issues.

She was asked on the form "Are you offended by the phrase “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?"

Her response: "Not on your life. If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me and I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance."

The questionnaire and her responses:

ROTFL.

Typical faux patriot showboating.

As soon as a politician begins spouting such glib idiocy, all doubts about their being a liar and a calculating opportunist can be laid to rest.

""If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me"".....................""I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance""......

............what a fucking joke.

I'm beginning to think we should make them pass a test.

Not many politicians would be eligible if we did that.

Wouldn't that be a nice bonus. ;)

Who cares?

Saying "Under God" hurts noone... just as secular society taking craps on christmas may offend me but I don't have "the right" to be offended, supposedly.

If you can't say "under God" without madly having the urge to change your religion, you are pretty fragile, and the pledge is not your problem.

All she said was that she's not for banning the pledge. What a crazy psycho! LOL. (waits for the many whom have posted here to quote that line and give a predictable one liner... yawn)

Um ... Decka, you're missing the point.

There was no Pledge of Allegiance for the Founding Fathers to say.

It wasn't written until 1892.

As for Palin, to come out and say that publicly.. she must have been playing too much

And "Under God," itself wasn't added until 1954.

Hah, don't feel bad Decka. I thought it was just about the "Under God" part, which wasn't added until the 1950's. You learn something new everyday! :)

Oh.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Good idea.

I mean, it would give us such an amazing insight as to who they are as a person, and what they hold dear.

It would just be nice to have their idiocy documented. :)
