View Full Version : Ignoring the talent

Off the top of my head I can think of 7 female congresswomen that have more experience than miss sara. Olympia Snow would be a fine VP. She has talent, guts, experience and is well respected in the republican party. Why pick an inexperienced woman with baggage when there are so many smart talented republican women to chose from? I'm sure there are more, these are just the ones that came to me off hand.

He picked who would win him votes, not keep our country safe.

It shows what judgement McCain has.

God its like a broken record around here. JUDGEMENT JUDGEMENT JUDGEMENT

I just posted this somewhere else but will post it here too:

There is that word again. Every time we hear that we are reminded that Obama has no experience. he is running on the idea that he MIGHT make a good decision if he is elected. Based on his solid judgement of course. Like how he voted against funding the troops who are now all but declared victors in Iraq, and how he somehow didnt see any reason to leave Rev. Wrights church of Black Activism before he decided to run for POTUS. That he attacks te VP for the Republicans for not having enough experience???? Ya, real great judgement

McCain has experience voting with Bush 90% of the time.

Good argument, Republicans.

I thought Obamas campaign wasnt about bringing down the other guy, but winning on his own acomplishments? I guess that went out the window when the first hard question got thrown his way. pre school is over, the pampered one has to enter real life now, and he doesn't like it.

Echo, would you have then voted for him?

I would have voted for him if Obama had chosen Hillary. I don't care for her and don't want her back in the white house.

I am somewhat disgusted with McCains actions of late though. He used to have the balls to stand up for what he believed but lately he has been changing his stance to conform to the republican base. That puts me off.

This pick is pure political pandering.
I think McCain is pandering to the social conservatives who hate him, by dangling this corrupt, far-right wing religious extremist, who is the embodiment of everything the McCain used to be against, which is why the social conservatives hate him in the first place. Apparently he is not only willing to sell out his principles for political gain, but he is also willing to sell out the entire country to this whack-job because he probably figures if that happens he will be dead anyway.

I also think McCain has bought into the right wing's own B.S. about the number of Hillary supporters who only vote based on gender.

Thanks for not including lunatic-racist Cynthia McKinney.

He was only naming Republicans.

She is a Democrat.

Apparently you don't like her. That's nice. Join the club. Seriously, there is probably a yahoo group or something for that. Go vent there.

Your attraction to him had nothing to do with standing up for what he believed in, because you don't support President Bush when he does that.

You liked when McCain stood up more for what you believed in.

as it is with the media in general. Like when they were saying "if mcain was a real maverick he would have picked a liberal". During the primary they loved mcain becuase he was the most liberal, now that he is leaning towards the right they hate him. I hate the media. Watching them during the election, and especially since Palin was announced has been an embarrasment. They do not eve pretend to be objective anymore, they have done everythng but break out the pom poms and the donkey hats.
