It looks like the Israelis had a chance to get the Angel of Death and let him slip away.

I wonder how many of these old nazis are out there still? If any, there can not be many. Anyone ever read the book Apt Pupil by Steven King? It was a story about a boy who blackmailed a nazi war criminal living in CA to tell him all about the halocaust, from a first person point of view. Good book (also a movie too, movie was not good though).

IT is wierd how all of these nazis went to S. America too. I guess S. America was really one of the only places they did not have any effect on. Interesting stuff.

There were also a lot of Japanese that fled their homeland and went to South America too. I once read an article on a city called São Paulo in Brazil, thats supposed to have the largest population of Japanese living outside of Japan in the world.

Corrupt officials in Latin America and elsewhere [ireland included] turned a blind eye to escaping nazis seeking refuge in their countries.

Some with vast wealth acquired from murder and pillage, grease enough hands and you can buy whatever you want.

Another one of the reasons is that Paraguay and Eragauy are and were probably the most corrupt governments in world history. They let people in that actually made Mengele and Ilse Koch look NICE. No extradition there either.

ooops, I basically just repeated yr post, paul, sorry.

Are any Nazis ( that is, REAL Nazis) still alive?
Doubtful and if so, in their 90's. Not too old for prosecution tho.
